A Hidden Gem in Farnsfield! My friend and I popped into The Old Boiler Room late one afternoon for coffee and cake, and what a lovely surprise it was! We were warmly welcomed by owner and chef Wayne, who couldn’t have been more friendly, and the lovely ladies serving were just as kind and welcoming. The cake was delicious, the coffee was just what we needed, and the whole place has such a relaxed, charming feel. The gardens are absolutely fabulous, a peaceful little haven that makes you want to linger a while longer. Truly a hidden gem. We will definitely be back!

We used the Old Boiler Room Coffee Lounge & Bistro to do the catering for our Silver Wedding Anniversary. The menu choice was perfect for what we wanted and the communication was excellent! Just off the busy A617 Mansfield - Newark road in the tranquil grounds of Hexgreave Hall and Deer Park is a little gem of a Bistro called the Old Boiler Room where we had our Friday lunch yesterday. The Manager and Head Chef Wayne was away on holiday at the time but his highly trained staff still continued to deliver the same first class service even when under pressure from so many unexpected diners who had come to enjoy an early autumn treat either on the sun terrace or like us inside. Simply Delightful!

An absolutely wonderful gem of a place. The food and service in this wonderful little venue is truly exceptional. Nothing is too much trouble, it is always an absolute pleasure to visit. I really cannot rate this venue highly enough. I visit fairly frequently and without fail, the experience is always wonderful. Thank you to Wayne, the chef, for consistently great food and your wonderful front of house team for always making our visit such a pleasure.

Delightful hidden gem in Nottinghamshire! We were really impressed with the friendly welcome and excellent service. We had the fire cracker chilli (not too spicy) and the tuna melt baguette plus I had the gluten free banoffee cake for dessert. Lovely coffees and teas and a very pleasant well maintained secluded setting! Will definitely come back - this is a great find!

’ve been to The old Boiler Room a few times now both for lunch during the day and for a few of their evening food nights and it’s always spot on. The food is amazing every time, the atmosphere is really welcoming, and the staff are always helpful and polite. Whenever I get the chance to pop in for lunch, or even just for a cake and coffee, it’s definitely one of my go to places.
